Today is Autism Sunday

February 12 is Autism Sunday
Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects how people interact with others and process their surroundings.

Founded in the UK by Ivan and Charika Corea, parents of a child with autism spectrum disorder, this is intended to be a day of prayer and learning. The signs of autism are often noticed in early childhood, and though there has been a lot of progress over the years, families can still face social stigmas and barriers to services.

Today we have selected three sapphic books featuring parents of autistic children.

Curious what tomorrow’s special day will be?

Make sure to check back each day for your daily calendar trivia, along with more great book recommendations! Any day spent reading sapphic books is a day to be celebrated!
