Top Sapphic Books, Anna Pulley, Freebies, and More

Friday Feels Graphic
We’ve made it to another Friday and it’s time to celebrate!

Find out the top 3 sapphic books with the most clicks this week, 5 Random Things about sapphic author Anna Pulley, women loving women book freebies, and 2 adorable pups to get your weekend off to a wonderful start!

It’s crunch time for TB & Miranda. Flight Plan is due with the editor on Monday, so this weekend is going to be packed with smashing out words, anxiety-filled texts, frantic phone calls, and possibly tears (TB cries when stressed). Oh the joy of deadlines!

We Did It!

On Tuesday we passed 500,000 site views. We’re more than halfway to our goal of one million views by the end of the year.

TB can’t believe it. When she started IHS way back in 2017, she had no idea what it would turn into. She just knew she wanted to help fellow sapphic authors get the word out about their books. She’d had the door slammed in her face by many websites, author organizations, bloggers, and reviewers. The ones that hurt the most were the ones who were part of the LGBTQ world.

TB will be the first to tell you, she’s never been the coolest kid on the block. Same in adulthood. She’s also stubborn and passionately believes in fairness despite the world constantly trying to stamp out this belief.

But hope powers TB, who is a self-proclaimed pessimistic / optimist. Meaning she expects the worse, but secretly (not-so-secretly these days) hopes good things will happen if you never give up.

Fed up with the gatekeepers, bullies, and haters, TB launched IHS with one mission: to be inclusive for everyone because it sucks to be left out in the cold.

We can’t thank all of you enough for supporting this website.

Here’s to the next half million views and thanks so much for supporting us in our goal of broadening sapphic fiction and making it easier for readers to find fantastic lesbian and queer stories. Representation and visibility matter.

Anna Pulley Random 5 Graphic

5 Random Things is our way of helping readers to get to know top sapphic book authors all the while having a bit of fun.

Here are five random facts about Anna Pulley.

1. Amanda Palmer once asked me out on Twitter… with Neil Gaiman’s blessing.

2. Despite writing an entire haiku book, I’ve lost every single haiku contest I’ve ever entered.

3. I’m a competent juggler.

4. I’m hard of hearing and one time thought someone was cat-calling me on the street. I turned around to discover it was a bird. It wasn’t hitting on me. It was singing.

5. The first purchase I made upon getting a “real” job was a lamp shaped like a butt that you turn on by slapping.
