SapphFic Mischief Saturday Morning Graphic
Happy weekend!

Before we get to today’s news, we just wanted to update everyone that Miranda is back home from the hospital and is healing nicely. She appreciates all the well wishes and hopes to be back to 100% soon.

Saturdays are when we curate all the sapphic book news and queer happenings of the week into one convenient location. Think of it as your personal reading directory! After all, we know the weekend is when so many of us are able to unwind for a minute and want to get lost in a good woman loving woman book. What could be better?

In today’s post, you’ll find cheerful LGBTQ+ news stories to combat all the negative ones bombarding our screens.

Sapphic author Cindy Rizzo submitted a Caturday photo of two sweet sisters.

One of the things we love about the weekly lesfic author selfie is getting to know the personality behind the words. Check out sapphic fiction author Alicia Gael with the book Murder on Castaway Island. We love how Alicia celebrates a new release!

Finally, scroll to the bottom of the post to see photos of Jae’s new release.

Guess the Sapphic Books Author GraphicBefore we get to today’s post, it’s time to reveal the identity of this week’s Guess the Author!

Every week, we’ll provide five clues about a sapphic author. This game helps readers get to know their favorite authors while having fun.

In case you missed them here are the clues:

1. My high school guidance counselor in Dublin, CA, told me I wasn’t college material and should think about getting a job after graduation. I went on to earn a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree and became a college professor.
2. In my twenties, I was a preschool teacher, a school bus driver, and I worked for three different pizza places. (Not all at the same time.)
3. Ireland is my favorite place to visit. (I’ve been there three times.)
4. I’m publishing my debut novel this year at the age of 65.
5. My debut novel is a sapphic take on the highest-selling mystery of all time. The author was my grandmother’s favorite.

Now it’s time to reveal their name. Drum roll please…

This week’s author is Alicia Gael!

Check out Murder on Castaway Island, Alicia’s new release!

Alicia Gael Author Selfie

Have you read Murder on Castaway Island by Alicia Gael yet? Here’s the tagline: A diverse group of women are been lured to a private island; then one of them dies.

TB and Miranda love exploring places near and far, almost as much as they love a good sapphic book. Follow them on their travels and find out what sapphic books they’ve brought along!

TB here.

As you know, we’ve been avoiding the public because of Miranda’s surgery. She didn’t want to catch an illness right before.

Last weekend, I started to feel trapped, so I went for a drive. I visited the Great Falls Discovery Center in Turner’s Falls. It wasn’t crowded inside, so I slipped on a mask to snap some photos of Bachelorette Number Twelve, Jae’s latest release. These are the animal photos. I may not have the best common sense in the world, but I do know not to ask a moose for a photo.

There’s a river next to the Discovery Center with a walking path. Along the river is a stone business and I loved their yard, especially the car with stones for tires.

On the way home, I stopped to stretch my legs next to a lake that’s frozen over. I happened to remember there’s an ice queen in Bachelorette Number Twelve and I just had to snap photos of Jae’s book with the frozen lake in the background.

Here are the photos and both Miranda and I highly recommend Jae’s book.

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend!

Miranda & TB
