1. I decided to minor in astrophysics because I thought we’d just be oohing and ahhing over pictures of space. It was almost entirely math.
2. My new book was first written as a short story, but my editor encouraged me to expand it into a novella. I’m so glad she did!
3. I TA’ed a fundamentals of geobiology course while I was revising my new book, which was incredibly helpful for fact-checking and adding new science tidbits.
4. I accidentally based one of the characters on my best friend’s older sister.
5. I am a clown camp graduate.

There’s more than one way to be eaten alive.
