In today’s post, you’ll find cheerful LGBTQ+ news stories to combat all the negative ones bombarding our screens.

Guess the Author GraphicBefore we get to today’s post, it’s time to reveal the identity of this week’s Guess the Author!

Every week we provide five clues about a sapphic author. On Saturday, we reveal the author’s identity.

Before we unveil this week’s author, here are all 5 clues in case you missed them:

1. I auditioned for a singing group but was beat out by my sister.
2. My first sapphic novel was self-published and was a love letter to an unrequited love.
3. I believe I’m reincarnated from a New Orleans brothel madam from the early 19th century.
4. I wanted to be a horse trainer but my mother forbid it because she didn’t want me to spend my life smelling like a horse.
5. My first celebrity crush was the old musical movies actress Ginger Rogers.

Now it’s time to reveal their name. Drum roll please…

This week’s author is Anne Shade!

Pip Landers-Letts with The Weight of What Was

Have you read The Weight of What Was by Pip Landers-Letts yet? Here’s the tagline: Two decades. One family trip of a lifetime. And a love that endures it all.

TB and Miranda love exploring places near and far, almost as much as they love a good sapphic book. Follow them on their travels and find out what sapphic books they’ve brought along!

TB here.

A few weeks ago on a glorious spring day, Miranda and I visited the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center in Providence, Rhode Island. They had two exhibits going on. The first involved fairy gardens, which I absolutely adore. The second was dragons. Who doesn’t love dragons? It was a wonderful excursion after a long winter.

Here are some photos.

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend!
