The term originates in Greek legend, marking the time when the gods calmed the seas so the halcyon, or kingfisher, could build its floating nest. Today, the term is often used to refer to the peaceful, happier days of a person’s past. In recognition, we’ve selected three books with dual time lines, past and present.
