Where in the heck is TB has returned

Now that TB & Miranda have recovered from all their travel, it’s time to share some photos from their adventures. Below, you’ll find photos from another one of their stops in Abilene, Kansas, along with a book by Carol Anne Douglas.

A bit about the stop. Miranda was intrigued by the part that the house came with two elderly sisters, and it’s inspired a story idea for her… Watch for that later this year!

Meet Ninja!

Meet Ninja! Ninja loves to sit on our headboard while we try to sleep, and push pill bottles and other things on our heads. Ninja also loves to reach out from a chair and smack us as we walk by. She slaps the dogs silly. Submitted by Richard, a reader.

Where the heck was TB?

TB loves exploring places near and far, so we’ve created a weekly game where TB goes on an adventure, snaps some photos, and then lets you guess her location.

To answer last’s week’s question, 82% of you got it right. It was I Love Lucy. Also, 15% of you think TB tried to hurdle over the barrier to sit on the set couch. She didn’t actually try, but we all know deep in her heart, she really wanted to. Which is probably why Miranda gave TB the don’t even think about it look. Which TB sees a lot.

Now for this week’s guessing game.

On their epic road trip from Massachusetts to Colorado, TB and Miranda stopped in Abilene, Kansas to visit a mansion. They brought along Sister Matthew and Sister Rose by Carol Anne Douglas.

Here are some clues about the mansion.

1. The 11,000 square foot Georgian style home was constructed for Dr. and Mrs. A.B. Seelye in 1905.

2. The mansion has all the original furniture that was purchased at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair.

3. It also contains the original Edison light fixtures.

4. In the basement is a bowling alley and it’s one of the last of this type in existence.

5. It’s been named one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas.

6. The current owner purchased the house in the 1980s and it came with two women, who were elderly sisters.

7. When he was a boy, Dwight D. Eisenhower delivered ice to the home.

Here are some photos, including some snaps of Sister Matthew and Sister Rose by Carol Anne Douglas.

Time to vote on the name of the mansion.

This poll is no longer accepting votes

What's the name of the mansion in Abilene, Kansas?

The answer will be revealed on August 12.

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend!
