Queer News Worth Clicking Graphic

TB is determined to spread good rainbow news during 2024, which let’s face, is going to be a rough year. There are a lot of elections all over the world, which means we’re in for a lot of scaremongering. While it’s important to stay informed, it’s also vital not to lose sight of all the kindness in the world. Below are the happy queer stories that made TB smile this week. They’re queer news links worth clicking!

Trans nonbinary runner Nikki Hiltz dedicates record-breaking Olympic qualifier to ‘all the LGBTQ folks’ — Congrats!

Same-sex couples line up to register under Latvia’s new civil union law — Wonderful news!

Georgia and David Tennant mock the Tories with hilarious Doctor Who reference after election flop — Just love this!

Pride in Finland’s oldest city shows how inclusive the country is — Is it easy to move there? Asking for a friend.

Genderqueer Glee star Alex Newell slays Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks performance — Fantastic!

Cade Haddock Strong with The Advice Columnist

Have you read The Advice Columnist by Cade Haddock Strong yet? Here’s the tagline: Letters to an advice columnist contain cryptic riddles, leading her on a quest to catch a killer.

TB and Miranda love exploring places near and far, almost as much as they love a good sapphic book. Follow them on their travels and find out what sapphic books they’ve brought along!

TB here.

During our vacation, we traveled to Pennsylvania for a few days. En route to our first official stop, I convinced Miranda to stop at the Lost River Caverns. I absolutely love caves. Miranda thinks they’re cool but isn’t passionate about them. In fact, I’m trying to convince her we should visit all the caves in the United States. We found one number, but we’re not sure if all of them can be visited. If they can, we would have to visit 4 caves every single day for the next 30 years. Miranda is claiming this is impossible and silly. Sometimes I just don’t get her. Also, I would like to note that each day we delay the start of this project increases the number of caves per day we have to visit.

I should note, they haven’t found dinosaur bones, despite depicting one at the site. But it’s a dinosaur. How can I not take a photo of it?

This particular cave is pretty neat. There’s a river that seems to be entirely underground and hasn’t been contaminated by anything from the surface. But the source of the river still hasn’t been found. There might be a novel in that…

Here are some photos.

Have a happy weekend!

Miranda & TB
