SapphFic News, Adrian J. Smith, 16 Sapphic Books on Sale, Caturday, and More!

SapphFic Mischief Saturday Morning Graphic
We’re excited it’s the weekend, especially because we’re kicking off something new!

Saturdays are when we round up all the sapphic book news from the previous week into one convenient location. Think of it as your personal lesfic directory! After all, we know the weekend is when so many of us are able to unwind for a minute and want to get lost in a good book. What could be better?

We’re really excited to add a twist to Where in the Heck is TB? Not only does TB love to go on adventures, but she also never leaves home without a book. It’s almost embarrassing that it took us months to think of the twist, which was Miranda’s brilliant idea. Each time TB explores a new place, she’ll snap a photo of a women-loving-women book, hence the title: Sapphic Books in the Wild.

We wanted to start off strong for the first Sapphic Books in the Wild, so TB had an extremely popular book by Roslyn Sinclair with her. Find out which one at the bottom of this post!

If you don’t know which lesbian fiction book to dig into this weekend, check out the BookFinder. There are over 2,900 books in the database, so odds are we have something you haven’t read yet. Or just amuse yourself by entering wacky combinations to see if anyone has written the book.

Without further ado, let’s get to all the sapphic book news from this past week!

Where the heck was TB?

TB loves exploring places near and far, so we’ve created a weekly game where TB goes on an adventure, snaps some photos, and then lets you guess her location.

To answer last week’s mystery, 87% of you were right. Miranda and I visited Stephen King’s home in Maine. Also, 11% of you guessed the bats on the gate scared me. I actually like bats, so they didn’t scare me, but the spider webs gave me the creeps.

Now for this week’s guessing game.

Last weekend TB went for a drive on her own, heading for a mysterious house near the coast.

Here are some facts about the home.

1. The home was part of a divorce settlement, where the husband had to construct a replica of their home.

2. The wife didn’t specify the location, so the husband built it in the Great Marsh outside of Newburyport, Massachusetts.

3. It was constructed in 1925.

4. It had saltwater plumbing.

5. The home is considered an example of a spite house.

This week we’re introducing another component to Where in the Heck is TB? We’re calling it Sapphic Books in the Wild. When TB heads out, she’ll take a sapphic book with her and snap a photo of the book in the wild. For this trip, TB snapped a photo of Truth and Measure by Roslyn Sinclair. In the book, one of the characters is going through a difficult divorce. TB thought it fit the theme of a spite house perfectly!

Here are the photos, including some shots of Truth and Measure.

Time to vote on the name of the house.

Polls are open until Feb 23 and the answer will be revealed on Saturday, Feb 25.

This poll is no longer accepting votes
