Where in the heck is TB has returned

Now that TB & Miranda have recovered some from all their travel, it’s time to share some photos from their adventures. Below, you’ll find photos from their first stop, along with a book by Chelsea M. Cameron.

A bit about the first stop. Miranda visited the museum last summer and she purchased a t-shirt for herself and TB. If you look closely at the shirts, you’ll learn something about their friendship. One reads: I’m Lucy. The other reads: I’m Ethel. Before looking at the photos, can you guess who wore which shirt?

Where the heck was TB?

TB loves exploring places near and far, so we’ve created a weekly game where TB goes on an adventure, snaps some photos, and then lets you guess her location.

On day one of their epic road trip from Massachusetts to Colorado, TB and Miranda stopped in Jamestown, New York to visit the Lucy and Desi museum. They brought along Marriage of Unconvenience by Chelsea M. Cameron.

To switch up things, we’re not going to ask you on the place where the writing duo visited, but the name of the TV show Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz are most famous for. TB learned some facts about the show that blew her mind, considering how popular the show became. Then again, she shouldn’t have been so surprised because it’s an example of how prevalent racism has been in history.

Here are some clues about the TV show.

1. It premiered on October 15, 1951 on CBS.

2. When Lucille Ball suggested her real-life husband, Desi Arnaz, star as her husband in the show, CBS executives said no because they didn’t think television audiences would want to see an “all-American girl” married to a Cuban.

3. To convince CBS to reconsider, Ball and Arnaz put together a vaudeville show that was such a massive success that other networks looked to signing them, causing CBS finally to agree to having Arnaz in the show.

4. There ended up being 180 half-hour episodes over six seasons.

5. It became the most-watched show in the United States four of the six seasons it aired.

6. It’s considered one of the most influential sitcoms in history.

7. Many who know TB & Miranda, think they’re a lot like Lucy (TB) and Ethel (Miranda).

Here are some photos, including some snaps of Marriage of Unconvenience by Chelsea M. Cameron.

Time to vote on the name of the sitcom, which is one of TB & Miranda’s favorite.

This poll is no longer accepting votes

What's the Name of the Sitcom?
×

The answer will be revealed on August 5.

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend!
