Sapphic Book News, Angela Greenman, 13 Books on Sale, Caturday, and More!

SapphFic Mischief Saturday Morning Graphic
Happy weekend!

Saturdays are when we round up all the sapphic book news from the previous week into one convenient location. Think of it as your personal queer reading directory! After all, we know the weekend is when so many of us are able to unwind for a minute and want to get lost in a good wlw book. What could be better?

TB is already getting her holiday shopping done. She only has a few more gifts to buy. She’s not usually this on the ball, but the next couple of months are going to be stressful with organizing the November Mega Sale, mapping out the 2024 Reading Challenge, the December 99c sale, and traveling to attend 20Books to 50K in Las Vegas. Not to mention writing one final book before the end of the year!

If you’re shopping for gifts on Amazon, it would be fantastic if you could click on one of our affiliate links first. That way we earn a small commission for your purchase. Every penny we get helps keep the lights on and it’s a simple way to support I Heart SapphFic. Here’s a link you can click to get you to Amazon.

Thanks so much for the help!

If you haven’t submitted your 2024 Reading Challenge forms yet, don’t wait. Nearly half the slots for next year are already filled.

We’re relying on the reading challenge forms we receive to map out the categories and books. Please note that inclusion is not automatic. You must submit a reading challenge form to have your book(s) involved.

The reading challenge is by far the most popular weekly post on the website, receiving the most visitors and clicks. It’s a wonderful and free way to promote either a new release or the books in your backlist.

You can submit as many books as you want and we recommend ticking as many categories as apply for each book to increase the odds of your book being selected. We can only feature an author once in each category, so submitting 5 books with Ice Queen as their only category means 4 of your books will automatically be excluded. The more options you provide, the better.

The submission deadline is December 1, 2023.

Here’s the 2024 Reading Challenge Submission form:

Where the heck was TB?

TB loves exploring places near and far, so we’ve created a weekly game where TB goes on an adventure, snaps some photos, and then lets you guess her location.

To answer last week’s question, 61% of you got it right. TB & Miranda visited Wilmington, Vermont. Also, 15% of you think TB & Miranda want to move to the charming town. It’s possible they’re eyeing Vermont for a possible place to live during retirement. And, there’s a chance they’ll be in Vermont a lot over the next few months, doing research for a book.

Now for this week’s guessing game.

Here’s another town they explored during their day trip in Vermont and they took snaps of Kissed by Her by Chelsea M. Cameron.

Here are the clues about one of the towns they explored.

1. It’s a town in Windsor County, Vermont, United States and in 2011, it celebrated its 250th anniversary.

2. It was named after George Augustus Frederick, the Earl of Chester and the eldest son of King George III.

3. It’s known for its Stone Village Historic District and Chester Village Historic District.

4. The town got attention in 2011 and 2012 when it tried to prevent Dollar General from putting a store in the town. In 2014, it was ruled there could be a Dollar General.

5. The Williams River, a tributary of the Connecticut River, whose three branches come together as a central river and run through the town.

Here are some photos of the town and Kissed by Her by Chelsea M. Cameron.

Time to vote on the name of the town.

This poll is no longer accepting votes

What's the name of the town?

Polls close on October 19. The answer will be revealed on October 21.

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend!

Miranda & TB
