SapphFic Mischief Saturday Morning Graphic
Happy weekend!

Saturdays are when we curate all the sapphic book news and queer happenings of the week into one convenient location. Think of it as your personal reading directory! After all, we know the weekend is when so many of us are able to unwind for a minute and want to get lost in a good woman loving woman book. What could be better?

In today’s post, you’ll find cheerful LGBTQ+ news stories to combat all the negative ones bombarding our screens.

Sapphic author Neen Cohen shares a Caturday photo of her kitty who loves puzzles.

One of the things we love about the weekly author selfie is getting to know the personality behind the words. Check out the picture of Georgie Luttrell with Home Again.

If you’re looking for something to read this weekend, below you’ll find 24 books on sale.

Finally, scroll to the bottom of the post to see photos from a protest TB and Miranda went to last weekend.

Guess the Author GraphicIt’s time to reveal the identity of this week’s Guess the Author!

Every week we provide five clues about a sapphic author. On Saturday, we reveal the author’s identity.

Before we unveil this week’s author, here are all 5 clues in case you missed them:

1. I’m a huge women’s football fan, especially the WSL.

2. I like my coffee strong enough to shake my eyeballs.

3. While doing my PhD, my tutor told me that my academic writing was “like I was explaining it to him at a bar over a beer”. I still don’t see the issue.

4. My first book was published in 2014, and it’s the start of a nine-book series.

5. In my latest release, the characters take the Caledonian Sleeper to the Highlands. My wife and I have done this, and I highly recommend it.

Now it’s time to reveal their name. Drum roll please…

This week’s author is Clare Lydon!

Check out Not Part Of The Plan, Clare Lydon’s new release!

Some partnerships are made in heaven. This one? Definitely hell…

Poppy Voss has successfully dodged the family watch business her entire adult life, until her aunt threatens to sell it out from under her. Suddenly desperate to preserve the legacy, Poppy persuades her aunt to give her a chance to prove herself. There’s just one tiny, soul-crushing catch: she has to work alongside Eliza Carpenter, the childhood best friend she’s been expertly avoiding since they were teenagers.

Dragging the company into the 21st century should be simple enough. Except Poppy keeps getting distracted by how annoyingly attractive Eliza has become. Meanwhile, her sister won’t stop consulting mediums about their dead mother, and then there’s her growing suspicion that Eliza isn’t revealing the full story.

With everything she’s ever cared about on the line — her family’s legacy, her heart, and her future — Poppy must learn to rely on the one person she’s not sure she can forgive, while discovering the most difficult person to believe in might be herself. But she better hurry up before time runs out…

Get Not Part Of The Plan here.

Clare Lydon’s bio:

Clare Lydon writes contemporary sapphic romance with all the feels, and always a happy ending. She’s a No.1 best-seller around the globe, and has spoken at queer festivals and Prides throughout the UK. When she’s not writing, Clare is normally watching football, drinking coffee, or eating a Bounty.

The next Guess the Author will start on January 19, 2026!

Have you read Home Again by Georgie Luttrell yet? Here’s the tagline: Who knew coming home again would bring her back to everything she thought she’d lost?

TB and Miranda love exploring places near and far, almost as much as they love a good sapphic book. Follow them on their travels!

TB here.

Last weekend we attended an ICE Out for Good protest in a town near us. Here’s Miranda with her sign.

Now for all the wonderful signs we saw and someone brought their sheep. I think I heard the woman call the sheep Mary Ann or something like that. Protesting with a sheep was a first for both of us!

Have a wonderful weekend!
