Luckily our readers like to share! We look forward to passing along these recommendations to you daily into the new year.

It’s not too late to submit your own top reads and get in on the fun. Click here for the form. Our only rules are that authors may not submit their own books and your list needs to be new-to-you books that were read (not necessarily published) in 2023.

Here are Kellan McKnight’s top sapphic reads of 2023:

1. A Lesbian’s Guide to Women by Erica Lee

This one got me started on my Erica Lee obsession. I loved everything about this, especially the FWB to lovers trope because that’s one of my favorites.

2. Study You by Melissa Tereze

Um… this was hot. Like for real hot. If people want something that just might burst into flames as they read, they should pick this up.

3. If It’s Meant to Be by Lily Seabrooke

This book has my favorite new character of the year (Paisley) and I will continue reading the entire series just to get more of her.

4. Oh My Stars by S-Jay Hart

My love for books seems to be very character driven and this one has one of my ultimate crushes (Honey). The story is sweet and wonderful and I was just happy when I finished it.

5. The Misadventures of Callie Compton by Alyson Root

I mean, this book has it all. Who doesn’t want to find out their grandmother is a major crime boss? I laughed out loud several times.
