Welcome to week 14 of the 2023 IHS Sapphic Reading Challenge, where we have so many sapphic books to share!
A hearty congratulations to Jené, who is our first Emerald level reader! That means they have read 200 books and ticked off all 100 categories. Wow!
57 readers who have reached Garnet Level so far this year by reading 15 books. Well done! We’ve also had 38 readers reach Topaz level, which is 25 books, 22 readers have reached Sapphire with 50 books, and 2 readers have reached Amethyst level with 100 books, and 1 amazing reader has reached Emerald level with 200 books in 100 categories!
An important note about the Christmas in July category: you do not need to read your Christmas book in July! That is when we will be featuring the category, but if you are waiting on that one, wait no more! You may read your Christmas book in any month you’d like. (We suspect we might see a few more amethyst levels reached this week now that we’ve clarified that rule.)
Remember, if you are participating in the reading challenge, you only need 15 books in 15 categories to reach the first level. With 100 categories and over 2,000 book recommendations coming your way this year, our aim is to make it as easy as possible to reach your reading goal!

If you get lost between the two lists, just look for the rainbow hearts at the start of each new section.
