Saturdays are when we round up all the sapphic book news from the previous week into one convenient location. Think of it as your personal queer reading directory! After all, we know the weekend is when so many of us are able to unwind for a minute and want to get lost in a good wlw book. What could be better?
IT’S ALMOST THE END OF 2023!
Can you believe there are only 10 weeks left in 2023? We hope you’ve made some great progress on your TBRs this year, and we’d love to hear about some of your favorites. That’s why we’re asking readers to submit their Top 5 Reads of 2023.
This simple form asks for your top 5 books this year, and is open to readers/authors/reviewers/bloggers. Just one caveat: authors, you may NOT select one of your own books (including books you wrote under a different pen name).
The books you choose do not have to have been released in 2023, simply ones that you read for the first time this past year.
If you’re an author/reviewer/blogger, we invite you to share some details about yourself and your website so we can help you get the word out.
Submissions are open NOW, and we’ll start posting your Top 5 Reads of 2023 in December and will continue sharing them into the new year.
EXCITING NEW PATREON BENEFITS FOR ALL TIERS
Last summer we launched a Patreon account to create a community and give you a chance to peek behind the curtain at IHS. Now that we’ve become more accustomed to the platform, we decided to revamp the benefits for each tier, to give more bang for your buck.
Lizzie fans! Beginning in November 2023, Lizzie fans rejoice! Around the middle of each month, you’ll receive a new installment (roughly 5 chapters) of an exclusive new addition to TB’s beloved A Woman Lost Series.
CALLING ALL SAPPHIC AUTHORS
If you haven’t submitted your 2024 Reading Challenge forms yet, don’t wait. Nearly half the slots for next year are already filled.
We’re relying on the reading challenge forms we receive to map out the categories and books. Please note that inclusion is not automatic. You must submit a reading challenge form to have your book(s) involved.
The submission deadline is December 1, 2023.

Meet Kit Kat! She used to have a brother, Snickers, who sadly passed away last May. She will be 19 in December. We’ve had them since they were 6 weeks old. Kit Kat still thinks she’s a kitten. Submitted by author Sabrina Blaum.
