Before we get to the first category this week, it’s time for Guess the Author
Every week, we’ll provide five clues about a sapphic author. This game helps readers get to know their favorite authors while having fun.
Here is today’s clue:
Clue #1: My high school guidance counselor in Dublin, CA, told me I wasn’t college material and should think about getting a job after graduation. I went on to earn a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree and became a college professor.
Don’t forget to check out the new release post tomorrow for Clue #2.
Now for this week’s categories!
The first section contains Secret Crush.
The secret crush trope typically involves one character harboring romantic feelings for another character, but keeping those feelings hidden from the object of their affection and often from others around them. This creates tension and potential for dramatic or comedic situations as the character with the secret crush navigates their emotions, sometimes struggling with whether or not to confess their feelings or how to deal with the complexities of their unrequited love.
